These tuition and schedule options are for Preschool students only. Kindergarten is a full day, tuition-free, and has State and Federal education and attendance requirements under the law.
Tuition & Schedule for the School Year (August 25th- June 2nd)
Monday – Friday. Tuition is based on a 9-month lump sum and then broken into monthly payments.
The school year will follow the LMCS School Year calendar which primarily follows Albany County School District #1’s calendar. There will not be Preschool or Afterschool Care on the days Laramie Montessori Charter School does not have school. Laramie Montessori Charter School will not prorate vacation periods, Professional Development days, half days, early pickup, snow days, or government-required childcare center closures (with possible exceptions).
On scheduled half days Laramie Montessori Charter School will dismiss all preschool students at, or before, 11:45 a.m. There will not be Afternoon Half Day preschool or Afterschool Care on scheduled half days.
TUITION & SCHEDULE
Pre-K 1 (3-4 year olds)
Half Day 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM $680/month
12:30 PM – 5:00 PM $680/month
Pre-K 2 (4-5 year olds)
School Day 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM $950/month (includes Early Care)
Full Day 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. $1200/month (includes Early Care and After Care)
After School Program
Afterschool Care $250/month: 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Times and days may not be split between children.
3 year-olds are limited to half-day, morning or afternoon. 4-year-olds are encouraged to be full-day in preparation for Kindergarten, but we will offer half-day slots for 4-year-olds after August 13th if there is space available and interest.
Discounts, Scholarships and Financial Aid
In order to offer our preschool education to as many people who want it Laramie Montessori Charter School will offer a range of help for families as well as partner with employers and DFS for childcare reimbursement and assistance.
Discounts:
Up to 20% in discounts are available to all families that qualify:
ACSD#1 and UW Employee Discount 10%: If one or both parents are employees of ACSD#1 or UW then your accounts can receive 10% off.
Multi-Child Discount 10%: If you have more than one child enrolled in our preschool or K-6th school, your accounts can receive 10% off.
Discounts can be applied with other financial aid.
Scholarships:
Scholarships are available based on financial need and are administered by Friends of Laramie Montessori.
Scholarship criteria include a complete application, Albany County residence, completed enrollment registration for your child who must be eligible to attend the LMCS preschool program in the application year, financial need, commitment to Montessori principles, ineligibility for Department of Family Services funding, and ability to pay the remainder of school or half-day tuition for one school year.

Employer Childcare Reimbursement:
Several Laramie employers offer childcare reimbursement plans. At your request, we will complete the paperwork they require for your participation in the program.
Childcare Assistance Program
LMCS is licensed and certified by the Department of Family Services and is able to accept financial aid for families receiving assistance from the Childcare Assistance Program. This program is not a part of TANF or the Food Stamps program so you must apply for it separately even if you qualify for other assistance. Instructions for using the Income Scale for the Childcare Assistance Program:
Household number by monthly income = your "step"
on the left is family copay based on income: maximum pay - copay = Childcare Assistance Program payment. Parents are responsible for paying the rest of the cost.
Example: half day payment for 4-year-old (17.18) - [family of 4, 3,000/month (step 3, .88 copay half day)] = (17.18)-[.88] = 16.30 Child care assistance payment per day. Cost per day (33.33) -16.30 = 17.03 per day cost for parents. Days (27) * (17.03) = 459.81 (total) /2 payments = $229.95 per month cost per kid for the summer program.
Parent Cost per month (in the example): 229.95
Childcare Assistance payment per month (in the example): 220.05

Lunch and Snack
Breakfast and lunch are included in your tuition. Nutritionally balanced meals are provided by Albany County School District #1 Food Service and are the same meals that our Kindergarten through 6th-grade students eat. Menus can be found on our website under School Lunch.
